Red Sands (Short Doc)
A short film about the Pamplona bull festival in Spain. Told from the view of an old man who attends the festival each year, it examines the conflicting emotions bullfighting can stir in people. It is a film about loss of tradition and nostalgia that provides an insider’s account of the running of the bulls.
The film has been screened at Film festivals in over 40 countries internationally, and has picked up several awards and nominations along the way. Notable successes have included winning Best UK Short and Film of the Festival at Raindance, the Silver Bear at 37th Festival of Nations Austria, and nominations for the prestigious Golden Frog at Camerimage Festival in Poland and British Independent Film Award.
